About Me

My career has been at the interface of academia, and the exploration and mining industry, and has involved the leadership of both exploration and science research teams.

This has included gold and base metal provinces in Australia and overseas, exploration modelling, application of research results to exploration and mining, and participation in discoveries of new gold deposits.

Teaching and training is a major part of my life. I formally mentor a number of young and mid-career geologists, and informally provide mentoring support to others through the mentoring scheme of the Society of Economic Geologists, Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, and several universities.
